Brighton Pride is finally back!
The weekend of the 6 and 7 August 2022 are the dates for your diary, as Brighton & Hove Pride promises to be a festival we can all be proud of.
One of the biggest events in the UK, Brighton Pride is billed as a joyous commemoration of the brave trailblazers, campaigners and supporters who shaped the Pride movement in the city and helped us achieve the LGBTQ equality we all enjoy today.
The big festival event – We Are Fabuloso – runs on both days in Preston Park in Brighton and promises an incredible line-up including Christina Aguilera on the Saturday and Paloma Faith on the Sunday, plus Gordon City headlining the 6,000 capacity Pride Dance Big Top. As well as the main stage and Big Top, there are the Cabaret Tents, Queer Town, the QTIPoC stage, dance tents and some new experiences. Final tickets are now available.
The free Pride Parade on Saturday 6 August has the theme “Love, Protest & Unity” this year, and is the delayed 30th anniversary of the Brighton & Hove Pride LGBTQ+ Community Parade 2022. Over 300,000 people throng the streets of Brighton for this fabulous event.
Also don’t miss Pride at the Ironworks – a season of cabaret, comedy and live music celebrating LGBTQ+ culture and diversity; and the Pride Village Party, another ticketed event – this time in Brighton’s Kemptown, and featuring entertainment zones, bars and venues, live performances and cabaret, DJs, drag artists, singers, performers, and musicians – all coming together for fundraising celebrations.
There’s also Pride Camping; and leading up to the big weekend, on Saturday 24 July 2022, head to Preston Park for the Pride Community Day & Dog Show, from 12 noon to 5pm.
