FAME WHORE – the new show by Wreckage writer Tom Ratcliffe – is coming to the Kings Head Theatre in Islington this October.
Fame Whore stars Gigi Zahir, aka Crayola the Queen – a multi-disciplinary drag artist, actor, singer, writer, producer and MC and 2019 QX Cabaret Award nominee for Best Host, Best Producer and Best Ongoing Cabaret.
In the show, when drag artist Becky Biro is told they need a larger following to be considered for international TV hit ‘The Drag Factor’, Becky can smell success. She will do whatever it takes to get there, then reap the rewards of her inevitable stardom.
Fame Whore promises to hold a mirror up to our desperate desire for relevance, and the lengths we may go to get there, in this outrageous, fast-paced dark comedy, laced with irreverent humour and cabaret songs.
Tom Ratcliffe will have two plays in London this Winter, with his Lustram Award winning Edinburgh Fringe 2022 hit Wreckage coming to the Turbine Theatre in January.
Fame Whore runs from 5t to 29 October 2022.
