THEATRE: Vault Festival 2019
London’s bold arts and entertainment festival returns for its seventh year, in venues across Waterloo. Presenting more than 400 shows and 2,000 artists, from theatre and comedy, immersive experiences, cabaret and live performances, queer highlights include gay plays Kompromat (23-27 Jan), inspired by the still-unsolved 2010 murder of GCHQ agent Gareth Williams, and Marmite (13-17 Feb), which was a sell-out at Edinburgh in 2018; and gay comedy Gaylords (9-10 Mar), featuring gay comedians Will Dalrymple and Mark Bittlestone.

THEATRE: 96 Festival 2019
Another strong lineup of artists set up camp at the Omnibus Theatre in Clapham for a celebration of queerness and theatre. Events include Lipstick: A Fairy Tale of Iran (26 Feb – 24 Mar).

THEATRE: All About Eve
Try and think of something more fabulously camp than this and… you will fail. Bette Davis may have made this a film classic, but Gillian Anderson and Lily James are set to turn the story of famous actress Margo Channing and scheming young upstart Eve Harrington into a stage juggernaut.

EXHIBITION: Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams
The V&A mounts this massive retrospective of Christian Dior and his work, spanning 1947 to the present day and tracing the history and impact of one of the 20th century’s most influential couturiers, exploring the enduring influence of the fashion house, and Dior’s relationship with Britain.
