What’s new on the London restaurant scene this Summer.
London has fast become the foodie capital of the world, with a continuous round of new restaurants opening – from major new additions from celebrity chefs, to gastro pubs and tiny new upstarts.
Here we bring you news of the latest big new eateries of the season in London.
Fera at Claridge’s
Set within the beautiful Art Deco dining room of Claridges Hotel, Michelin-starred chef Simon Rogan opened his brand new restaurant in May 2014, named Fera at Claridge’s. An exiting new look for the dining room includes walnut tables and windows looking out on to a “meadow” that has been planted along Davies Street (Fera is latin for ‘wild’). Expect Rogan’s signature dishes featuring highly seasonal ingredients.

The Chiltern Firehouse
Chateau Marmont and The Mercer owner Andrew Balazs has opened the restaurant in his first London hotel – The Chiltern Firehouse in Marylebone. White marble table tops and a playful menu by Nuno Mendes within this palace of opulence have made it the must-visit restaurant of the year. It has immediately become the single most important place for celebrities, politicians and the mega-rich to see and be seen… Â not fun trying to get in, but it’s worth the effort.

The eponymous two Michelin starred restaurant, now simply called Marcus, has been stripped back to present a much brighter and modern dining space for his modern European food with a British influence.
