The latest on the new wave of luxury spas in London.
There’s no doubt about it – any great city can be judged on the quality of its spas. The boom in hotel building in London, particularly at the high end of the market, has continued to give London’s luxury spa scene a major boost.

Espa Life at Corinthia
The luxury Corinthia hotel group opened their flagship London hotel a few years back to great fanfare, and it has continued to attract A list Hollywood celebs and the great and the good ever since. The spa also has much going for it including thermal jet pools, an amphitheatre sauna, heated fireside beds, sleep pods and a nine metre swimming pool. It has also become somewhat of a fave spot to visiting American celebs.
Aire Ancient Baths London
A short walk from the Corinthia is London’s latest nod to the city’s long history of bathing – the Aire Ancient Baths. Aire have made quite an impact on the global spa world, starting in Seville and expanding to Copenhagen, New York, Barcelona and beyond. London is a natural next step and they open Summer 2021 on Robert Street, in a historic 18th-century neo-classical building where Peter Pan author J.M. Barrie once lived.

The Akasha Holistic Wellbeing Centre at the heart of the hotel is a whopping 1,200 square metres and includes a range of treatments, a state-of-the-art-gym, large lap pool, Watsu pool, sauna and Hammam/steam room.
