The world’s longest-running musical continues to defy expectations and entertain the world.
Its home – the former Queen’s Theatre now respectfully renamed the Sondheim Theatre (and about time too), has been lavishly renovated by owner Cameron Mackintosh and is probably now the most comfortable theatre in London.
Les Miserables is officially the world’s longest running musical EVER and London first gave us the original production of this epic show.
Written by Alain Boublil & Claude-Michel Schonberg with lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer, and based on the novel by Victor Hugo, Les Miserables a timeless, compelling story set against the backdrop of revolutionary France.
A story of dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption, the show features songs including “I Dreamed A Dream”, “Bring Him Home”, “One Day More” and “On My Own”.
