The award-winning King’s Head Theatre in North London is hosting a season of Queer plays for 2017, with work from playwrights including Jonathan Harvey, Kevin Elyot and Patrick Wilde.
Acclaimed fringe venue the King’s Head Theatre in Islington has timed a season of Queer plays to the anniversary of the partial decriminalisation of homosexuality in England – 50 years ago this year.
5 Guys Chillin’
A powerful verbatim drama that tackles the issue of more and more gay men falling into addiction, and incidents of chemsex related crime.

Writer Patrick Cash (The HIV Monologues) and director Peter Darney (5 Guys Chillin’) team up to bring this exhilarating play about LGBTQ empowerment in 2017.

Coming Clean
A revival of the late and much-missed Kevin Elyot’s (My Night with Reg) landmark comedy drama, about the nature of fidelity and the bounds of love. Tony and Greg seem to have love all figured out. They’re in a committed relationship, but with room for a little sex-on-the-side whenever it takes their fancy. Their only rule? Never sleep with the same man twice. When drop-dead gorgeous cleaner Robert walks into their lives, the fragile foundations of their sexual contract are thrown into jeopardy.

Outlaws to In-Laws
In a major coup for the King’s Head, seven leading gay writers have joined forces to tell the stories of LGBT people and their lives, over seven decades.
From the 1950’s to the present day, Outlaws and In-laws explores gay lives against a changing social history from intolerance, violence and hate through to the legalisation of homosexuality and gay marriage.
The plays are by a who’s who of gay writers including Topher Campbell, Matt Harris, Jonathan Harvey, Jonathan Kemp, Joshua Val Martin, Philip Meeks and Patrick Wilde.
