Pride March and Festival in London will be held on Saturday 2 July 2022
London’s biggest annual LGBTQ+ festival has been postponed the last two years due to Covid. But finally Pride in London is nearly here – and it’s going to be bigger than ever.
The 2022 celebrations are extra poignant this year as we commemorate the 50th anniversary of Pride in the UK.
Pride in London Parade (from 12 noon): The march is the main event for Pride celebrations in London. Check out the parade route map here, but it starts at Hyde Park – where the first Pride picnic happened in 1972, and then goes from Hyde Park Corner down Piccadilly to Piccadilly Circus, and then turns south onto Haymarket and Trafalgar Square. The parade kicks off from Hyde Park at 12 noon, with the grandstand on Haymarket opening from 11am.
Pride in London Stages (from 12 noon): As in previous years, four fabulous stages will be set up in the West End for Pride in London 2022. The main stage is in Trafalgar Square, headlined by Ava Max with Emeli Sandé and Samantha Mumba plus more. The Golden Square stage will feature Cat Burns and Siena Liggins. The Dean Street stage is set to be headlined by Justin Vivian Bond. The Leicester Square stage is dedicated to LGBTQIA+ women and non-binary artists.
Happy Pride everyone!
