Queer Britain Museum opens on 5 May 2022
Leading organisation Queer Britain has finally found a physical home for its museum, the first LGBTQ+ museum in the UK dedicated to queer lives and history.
Courtesy of charity Art Fund, the Queer Britain Museum is based in London’s Granary Square in King’s Cross, in a historic building that is part of the massive King’s Cross regeneration project.
The museum has free entry, and is open Wednesday to Sunday, 12pm – 6pm.
The museum and exhibition space has four main gallery spaces, a gift shop and offices.
The venue is an place as exciting as the people, stories and ideas it explores and celebrates, and an essential place for everyone regardless of sexuality or gender identity; and with the purpose to find out about the culture they have been born into, have chosen or seek to understand.
